In the UK and Europe, John has directed Jesus Christ Superstar, Departure Lounge, Hedwig And The Angry Inch, Unzipped: the Ultimate Package Musical and a new musical with the eye-popping title Everything’s F**ked.

He was the director and musical supervisor of Let It Be on Broadway in 2013, as well as its previous London productions and European and Asian tours. Directorial work in Australia includes Miracle City, Angry Penguins, Up the Shops, Meet You at the Mona Lisa and Long Gone Lonesome Cowgirls. John is the Musical Supervisor and Arranger of Thriller Live (West End, Europe, Asia, Africa, South America & Australasia). He is the Musical Supervisor and Arranger of the new Marc Bolan musical 20th Century Boy. He was also the UK Musical Supervisor of Million Dollar Quartet (West End). John arranged and conducted the animated feature film Snow White: The Sequel (narrated by Stephen Fry). Scores for the stage include Steven Berkoff’s acclaimed production of Coriolanus (Australia), Much Ado About Nothing, The Tempest, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Death and Taxes (by Andrew Upton) and Ashes to Ashes (with Toni Collette).

In his native Australia, John was MD of Rent, The Rocky Horror Show, Return To The Forbidden Planet, Oh! What a Night, The Complete Millennium Musical and many others. Since moving to London in 2002,John has been MD of Dancing In The Streets, Hedwig And The Angry Inch, The Next Big Thing, Can’t Smile Without You, Dream On, Grease, Rent, Rocky Horror, Jesus Christ Superstar and the cult hit Dude! Where’s My Teddy Bear? John was a regular conductor of We Will Rock You for several years. He played guitar with legendary band TheDrifters and singer-songwriter Kristina Lao. He has worked withLadysmith Black Mambazo, Macy Gray & numerous luminaries of theAustralian music industry. He is soon to tour with Dennis Lecorriere oficonic band Dr Hook.
