Stuart Wilkinson

Stuart has been a professional musician for over fifteen years. He started playing drums and guitar aged sixteen, then a few years later he co-founded the successful but short-lived pop-punk band the ‘DumDums’. The band released ‘It Goes Without Saying’ on Telstar records and toured extensively in support of the album, performing on many television and radio shows and appearing with the likes of Paul Weller, Robbie Williams and Bon Jovi (Wembley Stadium).

Since then he has toured and recorded with a number of artists all over the UK, Europe and America including Girls Aloud (‘Love Machine’), Andy Burrows, Ilan Eshkeri, Lissie and David Brent and the Foregone Conclusion. During a two year touring stint as drum tech and live keyboard player for Brit band Razorlight, Stuart formed a very close friendship with then band member Andy Burrows and has been playing drums with him in his many solo projects ever since.

In 2014 Stuart played drums and tuned percussion for the Channel 4 ‘Snowman and The Snow Dog’ live music to picture shows at the Union Chapel which then led to him being the drummer, guitarist and mandolin player on the soundtrack for the most recent ‘Shaun the sheep’ movie. Currently Stuart plays lead guitar in Ricky Gervais’ band ‘Forgone Conclusion’ and has just finished recording the soundtrack and filming his role in the upcoming feature film ‘Life on The Road’ due out in August 2016.

Stuart’s favourite Beatles ‘song’ is tracks 9-16 on side B of the Abbey Road LP, that counts as one song right?
